Alabama Men Remain No. 4, Women No. 18 in Latest USTFCCCA Outdoor Rankings

Crimson Tide men hold down No. 1 spot in the South Region; women rank No. 2
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama men's track and field team remained at No. 4, while the women are ranked No. 18 in the U.S. Track & Field Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) National Team Rankings, released Monday. The men's team posted 221.40 points while the women's team earned 98.85 points. Regionally, the men are ranked No. 1 in the South region this week, while the women are No. 2.
The national team rankings are compiled by a mathematical formulae based on national descending order lists and data taken from previous seasons. The purpose and methodology of the rankings is to create an index that showcases the teams that have the best potential of achieving the top spots in the national team race. Ranking points do not equate with NCAA Championships team points.
Alabama will travel to Southern California for a pair of meets this weekend. – the Mount Sac Relays on April 13-14 and UCLA's Jim Bush Collegiate Invitational on April 15.
