Alabama Gymnastics Ranked Sixth Nationally This Week

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama gymnastics team is ranked sixth nationally this week as it prepares for its last two regular-season meets of the season.
Oklahoma, LSU and Florida maintain their lock on the first three spots in the rankings, which are determined by regional qualifying score. ULCA and Utah are fourth and fifth, respectively, this week. With Alabama at No. 6, Denver is seventh and Georgia, the Tide's opponent this week, is eighth. Oregon State and Boise State round out the top 10.
Alabama is ranked fourth on the floor exercise, fifth on the vault and balance beam and sixth on the uneven bars this week.
Individually, junior Kiana Winston is No. 8 in the all-around, No. 6 on the floor exercise and No. 11 on the balance beam. Junior Nickie Guerrero is fourth on the balance beam while senior Aja Sims is 10th on the floor exercise. Senior Katie Bailey is 15th on the vault.
After closing out its regular-season road slate at No. 8 Georgia on Sunday, March 5, Alabama returns to Coleman Coliseum for its regular-season finale on Friday, March 10 against Iowa State.
