Crimson Tide Men and Women Ranked No. 9 in Latest USTFCCCA National Rankings

Men ranked No. 1, women at No. 2 in South Region rankings this week
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama men's track and field team moved up 11 spots to No. 9 while the women remain ninth for the second consecutive week in the U.S. Track & Field Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) National Team Rankings released Monday afternoon. The men's team earned 70.34 points while the women's team posted 73.34 points.
Regionally, the men remain No. 1 in the South Region with 348.13 points while the women are No. 2 with 280.39 points.
Both teams will compete in the Southeastern Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships, Feb. 24-25 at Vanderbilt University.
The national team rankings are compiled by a mathematical formulae based on national descending order lists and data taken from previous seasons. The purpose and methodology of the rankings is to create an index that showcases the teams that have the best potential of achieving the top spots in the national team race. Ranking points do not equate with NCAA Championships team points.
