The Crimson Tide has hosted the annual festivities in the Frances Smith Gymnastics Practice Facility since it opened in 1996
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The Alabama gymnastics team welcomed a group of special guests to the Frances Smith Practice Facility Friday afternoon, hosting its annual holiday party for the children of the Stallings RISE Center.
"The joy that comes with this event is why everyone looks forward to it every year," UA head coach Dana Duckworth said. "The energy, the smiles and the amazing spirit that these kids bring to the gym is incredible and so uplifting."
The Crimson Tide has joined with RISE for a holiday party for more than 20 years and has hosted the event in the UA practice facility since it opened in 1996. As usual, the gymnasts and RISE students were joined by a pair of very jolly guests when Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus made their way to Coleman Coliseum and the practice gym again this year.
The Tide's 2018 season starts on the road Friday, Jan. 5 against Michigan in Ann Arbor. Alabama's home slate gets underway Friday, Jan. 12 against Georgia starting at 7:30 p.m. CT. Season tickets can be purchased online at RollTide.com and through the Alabama Ticket Office (205.348.2262).
