Alabama Men’s Tennis Completes Day One at USTA $15k Futures

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Alabama men's tennis team finished day one of the Qualifying Round in the USTA $15k Futures in Birmingham, Ala., on Friday.
Sophomores Alexey Nesterov and Zhe Zhou ended up getting the draw to play one another, with Nesterov getting the best of Zhou, 6-3, 6-2.
Freshman Grant Stuckey was defeated by Nicaise Muamba of Canada, 6-0, 6-0.
Qualifying play will continue on Saturday at 8 a.m.
