TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama softball teamed up with the Bama Softball Walk-Off Club for its third annual Trivia & Games Night on Saturday at the Tuscaloosa River Market.
For the third straight year, all 300 seats for the event were sold out, accounting for over $10,000 raised. Between seats sold, silent auction bids and various paid games throughout the night, the event raised roughly $15,000 that will directly help benefit the Alabama softball program.
The night started with head coach Patrick Murphy introducing the team and coaching staff before welcoming six-time national champion and former Alabama gymnastics coach Sarah Patterson as the event's guest speaker. The tables then played seven rounds of team trivia with various cash games played on stage in between rounds throughout the night. Attendees also had the opportunity to bid on a selection of prizes in a silent auction.
The team begins its season in just over two weeks at the Kickin' Chicken Classic, hosted by Coastal Carolina, on Feb. 10-12. The following Wednesday, Alabama hosts its home opener on Feb. 15 against South Alabama at 5 p.m. CT at Rhoads Stadium. Brickyard season tickets for the 2017 season can be ordered online at rolltide.com/tickets or by calling the ticket office at (205) 348-BAMA.
