Antibahs Kosgei Named SEC Men’s Runner of the Week

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Alabama senior Antibahs Kosgei was named the Southeastern Conference Men's Runner of the Week, the league office announced on Tuesday.
The 2015 SEC and South Region Runner of the Year, Kosgei raced to the men's 4-mile title at the Brooks Twilight Classic in Memphis, Tenn. last Saturday. The Eldoret, Kenya native crossed the finish line in 19:11.13. Kosgei's victory helped Alabama to a second-place finish in the Crimson Tide's season-opening meet.
This is the second year in a row that Kosgei has earned Runner of the Week honors for his performance in the Twilight Classic. He won the 2015 meet in a time of 19:49.75.
The men's and women's squads return to action this Friday in the Chattanooga Powerade Invitational in Chattanooga, Tenn.
