
Crimson Tide Men Fourth, Women Fifth in First Regular Season USTFCCCA Regional Cross Country Rankings

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama men's track and field team moved up two spots to No. 4 while the women remain No. 5 in the first regular season U.S. Track & Field Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Rankings of 2016, which were released Tuesday. The men were ranked seventh in the preseason regional rankings while the women were fifth.
So far this season, the men have posted back-to-back second place finishes in the Brooks Memphis Twilight Classic on Sept. 3 and the Chattanooga Powerade Invitational on Sept. 9. The women won the Brooks Twilight and finished second in Chattanooga. Both teams will be off until Sept. 30, when they will travel to South Bend, Ind. to compete in the Joe Piane Notre Dame Invitational.
