Alabama’s Cheyenne Knight and Kristen Gillman Conclude Play at U.S. Women’s Amateur

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama's Cheyenne Knight and Kristen Gillman did not advance out of the Round of 32 at the U.S. Women's Amateur Thursday at Rolling Green Golf Club in Springfield, Pa.

Knight lost to No. 12 seed Nasa Hatoka of Japan, 3 and 2, while Gillman was bested by No. 5 seed Katelyn Dambaugh of South Carolina, 2 and 1. Teammate Lauren Stephenson also reached match-play competition at the tournament before she was eliminated by UCLA's Bethany Wu, 3 and 2 in the Round of 64.

Alabama will open the fall portion of its 2016-17 schedule Sept. 16-18 with the Mason Rudolph Championship at the Vanderbilt Legends Club in Franklin, Tenn.
