
Cheyenne Knight Named SEC Golfer of the Week

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Alabama freshman Cheyenne Knight was named the Southeastern Conference Women's Golfer of the Week, the conference office announced Wednesday.
Knight was the top finisher for Alabama at the PING/ASU Invitational in Tempe, Ariz. over the weekend. The Aledo, Texas native finished fourth overall with a -4 under 212 for the tournament to lead the Crimson Tide to a third place finish in the tournament. Knight's score is a season low for her.
Knight has finished in the top 10 in four of her eight outings this season and was the medalist at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate in March. She has been Alabama's top individual three times in 2015-2016.
Alabama plays in the SEC Championship this weekend at Greystone Golf and Country Club in Birmingham. First round play begins Friday morning.
