Alabama Rowing to Split Squads Between Two Races This Weekend

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- Alabama Rowing will compete in two separate events this weekend, sending three boats to Sacramento, Calif., for the Lake Natoma Regatta while the remaining members of the team will compete at home against Drake on the Black Warrior River on Saturday, March 19.
The Crimson Tide will send a Varsity 8, Second Varsity and Varsity 4 out to California, competing in two Saturday sessions and a Sunday morning session. Back in Tuscaloosa, Alabama will launch a 1V8, 2V8, two 1V4s, a 2V4 and a Novice 8 for four races beginning at 8:45 a.m. CT. Admission to the home regatta is free and fans can watch all the action from the Park at Manderson Landing.
The home regatta will be the last chance to watch Alabama Rowing compete at home until April 30 when they take on SMU. Additionally, fans wanting to tour the new boathouse will be able to do so for 30 minutes following the conclusion of Saturday's races.
