Alabama Women’s Golf Tied for Seventh after Second Round of the Landfall Tradition

WILMINGTON, N.C. – Cheyenne Knight posted a second consecutive two-under par day during the second round of the Landfall Tradition on Saturday. Knight will begin Sunday's final round at four-under par for the tournament, one shot off the individual lead. As a team, Alabama was eight-over par on Saturday is sits in a tie for seventh at 13-over par (293-296/589) with Central Florida.
Wake Forest is in first at four-under par (288-284/572), followed by South Carolina (297-282/579) and Oklahoma (284-295/579) at three-over par. Furman (296-284/580) and Purdue (291-289/580) are tied for fourth at four-over par. North Carolina State (296-292/588) is sixth at 12-over par.
In addition to Knight's four-under par performance, sophomore Lauren Stephenson is tied for 14th at even par (71-73/144). Freshman Kristen Gillman is tied for 28th at four-over par (72-76/148). Seniors Cammie Gray (80-78/158) and Mia Landegren (81-77/158) are tied for 80th at 14-over par.
Alabama will be paired with UCF and Iowa in Sunday's final round at the par-72, 6,166-yard Country Club of Landfall, which will begin with a shotgun start at 7:45 a.m. CT.
