Alabama Men’s Tennis Advances to Third Day of USTA 10k Futures Tournament

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Alabama men's tennis freshman Thibault Cancel won in straight sets to advance to the third round of the singles qualifying bracket as part of the USTA 10k Futures event Saturday afternoon in Birmingham, Ala., at the Highland Park Tennis Center.
Cancel dominated Jibran Akhtar of the U.S. in a 6-1, 6-0 decision, and he will square off against Columbia's Sebastian Sanchez tomorrow at 11:30 a.m. on court two.
