TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) released its latest Regional Cross Country Rankings on Monday, and both the Alabama men and women held onto their spots from last week. The Crimson Tide men were 11th for the second-consecutive week, while the Tide women stayed second, where they have been since the preseason poll.
Both squads have not competed since sweeping the Brooks Twilight Classic in Memphis, Tenn., on Sept. 5. Not only did Alabama come away with two team victories that night, but junior Antibahs Kosgei and redshirt freshman Rachael Reddy paired up to sweep the individual titles as well.
The Tide men and women are set to run this weekend at the Cowboy Jamboree in Stillwater, Okla., hosted by Oklahoma State University. The meet will be held on Saturday, Sept. 26 on the Oklahoma State Cross Country Course. The women's race (6k) will be first, followed by the men's race (8k).
