Alabama Women's Golf Release 2015-16 Schedule

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The Alabama women's golf team released its 2015-16 schedule on Thursday and it once again features some of the most challenging events in collegiate golf.
The schedule is highlighted by a pair of postseason events hosted by Alabama - The SEC Championships on April 15-17 and the NCAA Birmingham Regional on May 5-7. The Crimson Tide will travel the country throughout the year, as it plays events in Tennessee, North Carolina, California, Louisiana, South Carolina, Georgia and Arizona. The NCAA Championships will be played in Eugene, Ore., in late May.
The Crimson Tide, fresh off its 10th straight trip to NCAAs that was highlighted by Emma Talley's NCAA Individual Championship, begins the fall season at the site of its 2012 NCAA Championship victory, when it competes at the Mason Rudolph Championship on Sept. 18-20.
The Tide will begin the month of October by returning to Chapel Hill, N.C., to compete in the Ruth's Chris Tar Heel Invitational on Oct. 9-11, for the third straight year. Alabama then closes out the fall schedule at the Landfall Tradition on Oct. 23-25, in Wilmington, N.C., at the Country Club of Landfall.
The Crimson Tide starts the spring campaign with its second straight trip to the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge hosted by Ohio State at the Palos Verdes Golf Club in Palos Verdes Estates, Calif., on Feb. 7-9. The Tide then travels to New Orleans to participate in the Allstate Sugar Bowl Championship on Feb. 21-23
For the fifth straight year, the Tide will play in the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate, which is set to begin on March 6-8, at the Long Cove Club in Hilton Head Island, S.C. Alabama won the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate in 2012 and 2013.
Bama then makes its annual trip to the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic on April 1-2, at the University of Georgia Golf Course. It will be the Tide's 35th appearance in the Liz Murphey, an event Alabama has won three times (1987, 2011 and 2012). The Tide is slated to close out the regular season on April 8-10 with a trip to the desert at the PING ASU Invitational at the ASU Karsten Golf Course in Tempe, Ariz. Alabama claimed the 2013 teeam title, while Talley earned medalist honors at the same event.
Postseason play begins on April 15-17 with the SEC Championships, hosted by Alabama, at the Greystone Golf and Country Club's Legacy Course in Birmingham, Ala. The Tide will then host the NCAA Birmingham Regional on May 5-7, at the Shoal Creek Country Club. The golf season will conclude May 20-25 at the NCAA Championships, held in Eugene, Ore. The Golf Channel will broadcast the final three days of the tournament.
