Haylie McCleney Named to Capital One Academic All-District Team

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Alabama junior Haylie McCleney has been named to the Capital One Academic All-District team for the third straight season, announced by the Collegiate Sports Information Directors Association (CoSIDA) Wednesday.
McCleney owns a 4.0 GPA in exercise science and has been named Academic All-District in all three of her seasons with the Crimson Tide. She was a Second Team Academic All-American her freshman season and was a First Team honoree last season, becoming just the second student-athlete in program history to make First Team honors as both an Academic All-American and All-American in the same season. This season, she was named the SEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year, the third winner for Alabama joining Jordan Praytor (2008) and Jennifer Fenton (2012).
The list of All-District honorees will be narrowed down to a final list of Academic All-Americans in two weeks prior to the start of the NCAA Super Regional round.
