Katelyn Greenleaf and Antibahs Kosgei Close Season at NCAA Championships

LOUISVILLE, KY. - Senior Katelyn Greenleaf and junior Antibahs Kosgei closed out the 2015 cross country season by competing at the NCAA Cross Country Championships on Saturday, Nov. 21, at the E.P. 'Tom' Sawyer State Park in Louisville, Ky.
The women's 6-kilometer race was run first. Greenleaf sat in 115th (6:49.50) at the 2k mark, but slowly worked her way up the standings. She eventually crossed the finish line in a time of 20:37.50 to place 63rd overall. Notre Dame's Molly Seidel (19:28.60) won the individual title while the New Mexico Lobos claimed the team championship with 49 points.
In the men's 10-kilometer race, Kosgei checked in at 40th (5:46.90) at the 2k mark and continued to hold his own halfway through the race, clocking a 5k time of 15:29.70. Kosgei fell off the pace a bit from there, dropping to 99th (24:29.30) at the 8k mark. He would cross the finish line in 102nd overall, posting a time of 30:59.30. Oregon's Edward Cheserek won the individual crown thanks to a time of 28:45.80, the only runner to finish under 29:00. The Syracuse Orange won the team title with 82 points.
