Alabama Softball Closes Fall Schedule with Sunday Doubleheader

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Alabama Softball concludes its fall schedule on Sunday, Oct. 25 at Rhoads Stadium, facing Shorter College in a doubleheader starting at 1:30 p.m. CT.
Admission is $5 (cash only) with all proceeds going towards the Bama Walk-Off Club. Fans are welcome to sign up for the club at the stadium, which helps support fundraising efforts for Alabama softball. More information on the group can be found at www.bamasoftballwalk-offclub.com.
Additionally, the Crimson Tide will also be collecting canned goods for the Beat Auburn, Beat Hunger initiative, which collects canned good to donate to the West Alabama Food Bank. Since its inception in 1994, the Beat Auburn, Beat Hunger and the Beat Bama, Beat Hunger initiatives have raised nearly 5 million pounds to fight hunger and poverty in Alabama.
Celebrating the team's 20th anniversary, a large contingent of Alabama softball alumni will be at the game and will be recognized during the starting lineup introductions. A second alumni weekend in the spring is tentatively scheduled for the weekend of the Kentucky series from April 22-24.
Sunday's games conclude Alabama's fall schedule as the Tide will begin its spring schedule in Orlando, Fla., at the UCF Classic on Feb. 12-14. Alabama's home opener in the spring will be on Wednesday, Feb. 24 at 5 p.m. against Troy.
