"I'm very honored and grateful to have this opportunity to continue my playing career as a professional basketball player," said Myers. "I am thrilled to begin my next journey in life. All glory belongs to God."
Myers, who joined the Crimson Tide in 2010 after ranking 13th in the nation in scoring as a high school senior, became one of the top three-point shooters to come through the program ending her career at No. 5 with 211 makes. The Newbern, Ala., native increased her scoring every season and became the 24th member of the 1,000 Point Club in the final home game of her career. Myers was named to two all-tournament teams throughout her time at The Capstone, including the 2012 Bank of Hawai'i Rainbow Wahine Invitational and the 2013 Saint Mary's College Hilton Concord Classic.
"I'm so glad I was granted the opportunity to be a part of the Alabama women's basketball team," added Myers. "It helped me not only grow as a player but as a person. I was surrounded by great coaches and people that helped me get to this point in my life."
Turun Riento is part of Finland's SM-sarja league. Their schedule runs from late September to early April.
