TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Alabama Rowing will conclude the fall portion of the 2014-15 schedule this weekend in Chattanooga, Tenn., at one of the nation's largest fall regattas: the Head of the Hooch.
The Crimson Tide will send 14 boats to compete in five races. On Saturday, Nov. 1, Alabama opens the day in the Collegiate 8+ (8:10 am CT) followed by the Collegiate 4+ (1:05 pm), Novice 8+ (2:31 pm) and Championship 2x (3:10 pm). On Sunday, the Tide conclude with the Open 8+ at 11:33 am CT.
This will be the fourth and final weekend of competition in the fall season before the Tide resume action this spring. Alabama's first competition of 2015 will be at the Cardinal Invitational Regatta on March 14-15 in Oak Ridge, Tenn. Alabama follows that with back-to-back home weekends, hosting Drake University on Saturday, March 21 and Jacksonville on Saturday, March 28. The Tide then head to Camden, N.J., on April 11-12 for the Knecht Cup Regatta, face off against SMU in Dallas on April 25 and finally compete in the Big 12 Championships in Oak Ridge, Tenn., for a shot at qualifying for the NCAA Championships.
