Myneni Medals Twice at 2014 Asian Games

INCHEON, South Korea - Former Crimson Tide tennis player Saketh Myneni won a gold and silver medal at the 2014 Asian Games, helping India collect five medals in tennis.

In mixed doubles, Myneni and partner Sania Mirza, seeded second, cruised to a 6-4, 6-3 victory in just over an hour to capture the gold medal over top-seeded Hsien Yin Peng and Hao Ching of Chinese Taipei.
In men's doubles earlier in the day, Myneni and partner Sanam Singh advanced all the way to the finals before falling to the Korean duo of Longkyu Lim and Hyeong Chung in a back-and-forth match, 7-5, 7-6(2).
