Crimson Tide Hosts Crimson Classic This Friday in Tuscaloosa

The University of Alabama men's and women's cross country teams host the Crimson Classic this Friday, Oct. 18 at the Harry Pritchett Running Park. Women will run first at 5 p.m. (CT),while the men will run at 5:30 p.m.
IN THE RANKINGS
The women's team moved up two spots in the USTFCCCA South Regional rankings for October7 to fifth. The men stand pat at 11th in the regional rankings
PLAYING HOST
This Friday, Alabama will host the annual Crimson Classic at the Harry Pritchett Running Park. The meet is highlighted by the university men's and women's races starting at 5 p.m.:

TEAM SCORING
Team scores will be computed by totaling the top fiseventh runners will count as pushers. Runners eightve runners' finish positions. The sixth and seventh runners will count as pushers. Runners eight to 10 will not figure in the team scores but will be given official times. Teams with fewer than five runners will not be totaled in the team scores.
LAST YEAR
The women's team won the 2012 edition of the Crimson Classic that featured 14 teams and 135runners. They were paced by then-freshman Katelyn Greenleaf, who ran a 5-kilometer 17:48.08and placed fifth. On the men's side, Alabama rounded out the top five, placing fifth.
UP NEXT
The Crimson Tide will travel to Gainesville, Fla., Nov. 1 for the SEC Championships.
