
No. 7 Tide Wraps up Regular Season at Auburn

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The seventh-ranked women's tennis team (15-3, 9-1 SEC) concludes its regular season on Saturday, traveling across the state to take on rival Auburn (8-11, 3-7 SEC) at the Yarbrough Tennis Center. First serve is set for 5 p.m. CT.
The Crimson Tide enjoyed a highly-successful weekend road trip in the SEC last week, beating No. 5 Georgia, 4-3, and No. 22 Tennessee, 6-1. Alabama's win over the Bulldogs was just its second against Georgia in program history and the first since 1977. In the latest rankings, the Tide has three nationally ranked singles players in No. 15 Mary Anne Macfarlane, No. 44 Alexa Guarachi and No. 112 Courtney McLane. Alabama also has four ranked doubles combinations in No. 21 Guarachi and McLane, No. 37 Macfarlane and Guarachi, No. 56 Antonia Foehse and Macfarlane and No. 79 Taylor Lindseyand McLane.
The Tigers have lost their last five matches, which includes a 4-3 loss to No. 22 Tennessee and a 6-1 loss to No. 5 Georgia last week. Auburn's last win came in a 5-2 decision against Kentucky on March 23. The Tigers have two nationally-ranked doubles combinations in No. 78 Jen Pfeifler and Jacqueline Kasler and No. 81 Paulina Schippers and Pfeifler.
Alabama is 29-24 all-time against Auburn and is in the midst of a three-match winning streak over the Tigers. In last year's contest, the Tide swept Auburn in Tuscaloosa, 7-0.
