The University of Alabama track and field team currently has 10 performances in the top 50 to date this outdoor season including three athletes that ranked in the top 25 nationally.
For the women's team, six athletes are ranked in the Top 50. Krystle Schade has the fifth best mark in the country for the high jump when she cleared a 6-0 at the Alabama Relays in Tuscaloosa.
Shani Chandler comes in at No. 26 for her 59.04 performance in the 400-meter hurdles at the Ole Miss Invitational back on March 31. Chloe Hetherton also checks in at No. 26 in the country for her 41-7 mark in the triple jump at the Bulls Invitational on March 16.
The Crimson Tide men have four athletes placed in the top 50 right now. Tyler Campbell cleared a 7-1 bar in the high jump on his way to a second-place finish at the Ole Miss Invitational to place 15th in the country. Kamal Fuller recorded a jump of 24-8.5 at the Alabama Relays for the No. 21 spot in the nation at the Alabama Relays.
The lone Tide athlete that is ranked No. 1 overall in the SEC is Schade for her high jump performance at the Alabama Relays.
After a week off from competition, the Tide will be traveling to Athens, Ga. this weekend for the Spec Towns Invitational on April 13-14.
