TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The Alabama gymnastics team remains at No. 4 this week in the national rankings heading into its final regular-season meet this Friday against North Carolina in Coleman Coliseum starting at 7:30 p.m.
The rest of the top 10 remains virtually the same this week. Florida is again No. 1, followed by Oklahoma and UCLA in second and third. Georgia comes in a spot behind the Crimson Tide at No. 5 and is followed by No. 6 Nebraska and No. 7 Utah.
The only movement in the top 10 comes in the next three spots, where Oregon State leapt over Arkansas into eighth place, while LSU drops out of a tie for ninth into 10th place, a spot behind the Razorbacks.
Alabama is second on the vault and fifth on both the balance beam and floor exercise again this week. The Tide did jump one spot in the uneven bars rankings, moving to No. 7.
Junior Marissa Gutierrez is No. 7 on the vault this week after posting a 9.95 against Missouri last Friday, tying her career-best score. Sophomore Diandra Milliner is 16th on the vault while senior Geralen Stack-Eaton and junior Ashley Sledge are tied for 21st. Senior Ashley Priess is ranked eighth on the balance beam while she and Stack-Eaton are tied for 14th on the uneven bars.
