
Gymnastics Ranked No. 1 on the Vault, No. 6 Overall

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The Alabama gymnastics team is ranked No. 1 in the nation on the vault this week and remains No. 6 in the overall team rankings. Junior Ashley Sledge continues her reign at No. 1 on the vault for the second week in a row.
Utah jumped to No. 1 this week while Arkansas fell one spot to No. 2. The Crimson Tide's next opponent, the Florida Gators are third coming into this Friday's contest. Georgia climbed to No. 4 this week followed by Oklahoma at No. 5.
In addition to being No. 1 on the vault, Alabama is sixth on the balance beam, 10th on the floor exercise and 11th on the uneven bars.
Senior Geralen Stack-Eaton follows Sledge on the vault for the second week in a row, coming in at No. 2. Also on the vault, junior Marissa Gutierrez checks in at No. 14 while sophomore Diandra Milliner is No. 19.
Senior Ashley Priess is fifth on the uneven bars and 10th on the balance beam. Gutierrez is also ranked on the balance beam, coming in at No. 22.
After two weeks on the road, the Tide returns home Friday, Feb. 3 against Florida. The meet gets underway at 7:30 p.m. CST and will be broadcast on a tape-delayed basis, on CSS. Tickets are available through the Alabama Ticket Office (205.348.2262) and online at RollTide.com.
