Inside the Score Sheet at Auburn

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Here's a look inside the score sheet of No. 6 Alabama's first meet in Auburn Arena against the No. 16 Auburn Tigers on Friday, Jan. 27. Alabama won the meet, its 104th in a row against Auburn, 196.325-196.250.
- Alabama beat Auburn by .075, marking the third meet in a row that the Crimson Tide's margin of victory has been less than two-tenths of a point. Alabama beat Georgia by .150 and Penn State and Auburn by .075.
- Senior Ashley Priess has clinched each of the Tide's first three meets as the Crimson Tide's last gymnast in its last rotation. Against Georgia, she scored a 9.9 to push the Tide past Georgia. At the Penn State Quad meet, she scored a 9.85 on the uneven bars to beat Penn State and she scored a season-best 9.925 on balance beam to beat Auburn.
- The Tide's last three trips to Auburn (2009, 2010 and 2012) have all come down to the last rotation and the last routine and all three times senior Ashley Priess clinched a Crimson Tide win on the balance beam. As a freshman, in the first meet of her career, she scored a 9.875 to secure a .025 win over the Tigers. In 2010, Alabama again opened its season at Auburn, and Priess scored a 9.9 for the win. That year, the Tide had to hit five beam routines in a row to finish the meet after the UA leadoff beam routine fell. On Friday, Priess scored a season-best 9.925, securing a .075 win over the Tigers.
- Senior Ashley Priess tied her career-best on the uneven bars at Auburn with a 9.925.
- With the meet on the line, Alabama scored a season-high 49.200 on the balance beam. In addition to Priess' 9.925, sophomores Kim Jacob and Sarah DeMeo both scored 9.85s while junior Marissa Gutierrez, who came up after Ashley Sledge's fall, scored a 9.825 in her first routine in the Tide's beam lineup this season.
- Junior Ashley Sledge scored a 9.925 to win the vault at Auburn. It marked her third 9.9 or better vault this season and her fifth consecutive 9.9 or better in team competition, dating back to the 2011 NCAA Championships Semifinals. She also scored a team-best 9.85 on the floor exercise and season-best 9.85 on the uneven bars.
- Freshman Kaitlyn Clark scored a 9.85 to start Alabama's vault lineup off for the second week in a row.
- Freshman Kayla Williams scored a season-best 9.850 on the vault against Auburn.
- For the third meet in a row, sophomore Kim Jacob led off Alabama's balance beam and floor exercise rotations. She also competed on the vault for the first time this season vs. Auburn. Against the Tigers, she scored a season-high 9.85 on the beam.
- Sophomore Diandra Milliner went in the all-around for the first time this season against Auburn, scoring a 39.000.
