
Gymnastics Team Signed Autographs on the Quad Saturday

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The 2012 Alabama Gymnastics team made its public debut Saturday when it signed autographs on the University Quad prior to the Alabama-Arkansas football game.
The Crimson Tide is coming off a banner season during which it won the national, regional and Southeastern Conference Championships. In addition to winning the championships triple crown, the 2011 squad also posted the highest team grade point average in program history with a 3.71.
Saturday marked the first chance for Tide fans to meet Alabama's four rookies - Kaitlyn Clark, Lora Leigh Frost, Brooke Parker and Kayla Williams.
"It was a great afternoon on the Quad where our ladies got to meet so many of our awesome fans and that was followed by another exciting game in Bryant-Denny Stadium," Patterson said. "The weather was perfect, the game was outstanding and our ladies really had an amazing time."
In addition to the newcomers, Patterson, now in her 34th season at Alabama, and the rest of the coaching staff were joined on the Quad by All-Americans Geralen Stack-Eaton, Ashley Priess, Rachel Terry, Ashley Sledge, Marissa Gutierrez, Kim Jacob, Sarah DeMeo and Diandra Milliner as well as veterans Becca Alexin, Olivia Carisella , Ria Domier, Lindsey Fowler and Hannah Toussaint.
Also joining the fun on Saturday were the seniors from last year's NCAA Championship team - Kayla Hoffman, Alyssa Chapman and Megan Mashburn.
