
Alabama Beats Stanford, 10-0 in Five Innings

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The Alabama Crimson Tide beat the Stanford Cardinal (42-16) 10-0 in five innings to even the best-of-three 2011 NCAA Softball Tuscaloosa Super Regional at one game apiece in Rhoads Stadium Friday afternoon. Alabama (50-9) scored in all five innings led by junior Jennifer Fenton who hit safely in all four plate appearances and tied her career best with six RBI.
Alabama's ace Kelsi Dunne took the win, pushing her record to 27-4 this season while Stanford's Teagan Gerhart (26-12) took the loss. After a 30-minute break, the two teams return for the decisive third game.
