Women's Basketball to Participate in 2011 Paradise Jam

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The women's basketball team has been selected to participate in the 2011 U.S. Virgin Islands Paradise Jam at the University of the Virgin Islands. Play begins Nov. 24 and continues through Nov. 26.
This will be the Crimson Tide's second appearance in the Islands. Alabama placed third in the 2005 St. Thomas Division Tournament and returns to play three games over three days in the Island Division.
Competition in the Island Division tournament begins Thursday, Nov. 24, at noon CT with a matchup against Old Dominion. The Tide will then take on Seton Hall on Friday, Nov. 25, at noon and will wrap up play on Saturday, Nov. 26, with a 2:15 p.m. tipoff versus Louisiana Tech.
Games will be played at the U.V.I. Sports and Fitness Center, in Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas.
