Larsen and Fenton Named to SEC All-Tournament Team

OXFORD, Miss. - Alabama senior Whitney Larsen (Vestavia Hills, Ala.) and junior Jennifer Fenton (Kennesaw, Ga.) were named to the Southeastern Conference all-tournament team, the league office announced after the conclusion of tournament play. The duo earns the honor for the second consecutive season.
Both players batted .500 in the two games for Alabama, both going 3-for-6 from the plate. The duo also added two runs apiece. Larsen added a home run and four RBI and also smacked two doubles.
In the tournament opener against Mississippi State, Larsen batted 2-for-3 with two runs scored and a three-run home run which proved to be the game-winning hit. Fenton batted 2-for-3 with a run scored.
In the semifinal against Georgia, Larsen hit an RBI double while Fenton scored a run, drew a walk and tallied a single.
Alabama will now wait for who it will face in the NCAA tournament as the selection show is scheduled to begin at 9 p.m., Sunday, on ESPNU.
