Men's Basketball Coach Anthony Grant Visits SEC Champs

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The 2011 Southeastern Conference and NCAA Regional Champion Alabama gymnastics team welcomed Crimson Tide men's basketball coach Anthony Grant to practice Tuesday afternoon.
The UA hoops mentor stopped by to congratulate gymnastics head coach Sarah Patterson her team on their recent success. He also encouraged the gymnasts to continue down the path of their success, focusing on the things that have made them successful to this point.
Grant and his team enjoyed their own run in the National Invitation Tournament, making it to New York City, Madison Square Garden and the NIT Championship game. In just his second season with the Tide, Grant also led his squad to the SEC Western Division title.
The UA gymnastics team is the No. 1 seed going into next week's NCAA Championships, which will be held in Cleveland, Ohio, April 15-17.
