
Gymnastics Starts Two-Week Home Stretch Ranked Seventh

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The Alabama gymnastics team is ranked seventh nationally this week, dropping just one spot after losing for the first time this season to No. 1 Florida in Gainesville last Friday.
The Gators are at No. 1 for the fifth week in a row, followed by No. 2 Stanford, No. 3 Utah and No. 4 Georgia. Oklahoma is fifth and Oregon State stands at sixth this week. Michigan is just behind the Tide at No. 8 with Nebraska and UCLA rounding out the top 10.
The Crimson Tide is ranked second on the vault and third on the floor exercise this week as well as eighth on the balance beam and 22nd on the uneven bars.
Senior Kayla Hoffman and junior Geralen Stack-Eaton are ranked 18th and 20th, respectively, in the all-around. Hoffman is also ranked third on the vault while Stack-Eaton is 14th on the vault and 23rd on the floor exercise. Freshmen Hannah Toussaint and Diandra Milliner are seventh and 13th, respectively, on the floor exercise while sophomore Ashley Sledge is 13th on the vault.
After two weeks on the road, Alabama returns to Coleman Coliseum for a two-meet homestand, taking on No. 21 Auburn on Friday, Feb. 11 and Kentucky, on Friday, Feb. 18 in the Tide's annual Power of Pink meet.
