
Alabama Athletics Launches Crimson Tide Rewards Program Friday

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The University of Alabama Athletics Department launches its new Crimson Tide Rewards Program presented by Tuscaloosa Toyota this week. The program includes several levels of prizes with the grand prize being a new 2011 Toyota Camry from Tuscaloosa Toyota.
"We're very excited about the Crimson Tide Rewards Program and we're appreciative of Tuscaloosa Toyota for sponsoring this initiative," UA Director of Athletics Mal Moore said. "We have the best fans in the nation and this is a way that as a department, we can thank them for their support of Alabama Athletics."
The program is based on attendance at UA athletic events, with points being awarded at each designated event. Rewards are earned for 10, 20, 40 and 50 points and the prizes include t-shirts, hats and iPod shuffles in addition to the grand prize.
The program gets underway this Friday at the Alabama gymnastics season opener against Penn State. To join the program, simply register for a Crimson Tide Rewards card at select home events. On Friday, registration tables will be set up in the main lobby of Coleman Coliseum. The program is open to all Alabama fans. After they register, members will have their cards scanned at each designated event they attend.
Fans can go to CrimsonRewards.com to see their point totals, which athletic events they can attend to earn points and to learn more about the program
Members will earn "All-Conference" status and receive a 2011 Crimson Tide Rewards Team t-shirt once they accrue 10 points. At 20 points, members will attain "All-American" status and will receive a 2011 Crimson Tide Rewards hat. Once members hit the 40-point mark, they will be an "Alabama Legend" and receive an iPod Shuffle.
At the end of the season, all members of the program that have 50 or more points will be eligible for the grand prize drawing which will take place during the 2011 football season.
The first 10 rewards program events are as follows - Gymnastics vs. Penn State (1/7); Men's Basketball vs. South Carolina (1/12); Women's Basketball vs. Vanderbilt (1/13); Women's Basketball vs. Arkansas (1/16); Men's Basketball vs. Kentucky (1/18); Women's Basketball vs. Georgia (1/20); Gymnastics vs. Boise State (1/21); Men's Basketball vs. LSU (1/29); Women's Basketball vs. Kentucky (1/30); and Men's Basketball vs. Mississippi State (2/2).
