GAINESVILLE, Fla. - The Alabama Gymnastics team, which won its semifinal session here at the NCAA Championships Thursday night, will compete for its fifth national team title Friday night starting at 6 p.m. ET here in the Stephen C. O'Connell Center in Gainesville, Fla.
The Crimson Tide, which scored a 196.850 in its semifinal round, will battle UCLA, Florida, Stanford, Utah and Oklahoma for top honors in the NCAA Super Six Team Finals. Alabama will start the night on a bye before beginning competition on the floor exercise. It will then advance to the vault before taking another bye, and then finishing off the championship on the uneven bars and balance beam. This is the same rotation the Tide used to win its NCAA-best 25th regional title earlier this month.
Alabama will be paced by 2010 All-Americans Morgan Dennis, Kayla Hoffman, Ricki Lebegern, Kassi Price, Ashley Priess and Geralen Stack-Eaton. Stack-Eaton led the Tide in the semifinals, scoring a 39.500 and finishing fourth overall in the all-around.
