
Gymnastics Power of Pink Meet vs. Arizona Sold Out

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Outside of the 1,500 seats available to Alabama students, tonight's gymnastics meet vs. Arizona is sold out the UA Athletics Department announced Friday. Alabama students will be admitted on a first-come, first-serve basis by swiping their ACT card. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.
Tonight's meet is the Crimson Tide's sixth annual Power of Pink event and it marks the fifth consecutive year that the meet has been a sellout.
There will be a number of giveaways at tonight's event, including several prizes geared specifically to UA students. Tuscaloosa Toyota, the sponsor of Alabama Athletics' "Power of Pink" initiative to raise awareness in the fight against breast cancer, is giving away 5,000 pink T-shirts and 5,000 pink shakers, as well as a number of other prizes.
The front of Coleman Coliseum has been lit pink for this event and as part of the DCH Foundation's Light Up the Night luminary project. There will be a lighting ceremony prior to the meet on the steps of the Coliseum at 6:30 p.m.
Because of the sellout, ticket holders who are unable to attend tonight's meet are encouraged to share their tickets with anyone wishing to attend.
