TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The No. 10 Alabama men's cross country team concluded their sixth week of practice last week under 10th year cross country coach Joe Walker. The Tide did not compete over the weekend.
In the last week, Alabama got in some quality workouts because they did not compete on the weekend.
"Last weeks training went fairly well as we got lucky and avoided the wet weather for the most part," Walker recalled. "We were able to get a good session of 1,000 meter repeats early in the week on a flat surface so we were able to get a little bit of quality work at slightly faster pace than race pace."
The Crimson Tide took the weekend off from competition to get prepared both physically and mentally for the Bill Dellinger Invitational being held this upcoming weekend in Eugene, Ore. The squad will faceoff against No. 1 Oregon on their home course.
