2009 SEC Champion Gymnastics Team Honored at Halftime

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The 2009 Southeastern Conference Champion Alabama Gymnastics Team received their championship rings at midfield during halftime of the Alabama-Arkansas football game Saturday afternoon.
This was the ninth midfeild trip to receive a championship for coaches Sarah and David Patterson, now in their 32nd season leading the Crimson Tide. The couple has coached Alabama to four NCAA Championships and six conference titles.
Alyssa Chapman, Morgan Dennis, Jocelyn Fowler, Kayla Hoffman, Ricki Lebegern, Brittany Magee, Megan Mashburn, Amanda Montgomery, Ashley O'Neal, Casey Overton, Erika Pearson, Kassi Price, Ashley Priess, Jacqueline Shealy, Geralen Stack-Eaton, Caitlin Sullivan and Rachel Terry, along with the Tide's coaches and staff, all received their rings.
Alabama also won an NCAA-best 24th regional championship and finished second at the NCAA Championships during the 2009 season, marking the 11th time the Tide has finished in the top-2 nationally.
