Frederick Named to W-League Team of the Week

TAMPA, Fla. - United Soccer Leagues announced the W-League Team of the Week for the sixth week of USL competition. Alabama standout Victoria Frederick, who plays for Toronto, was honored by the league.
Frederick, who was named the Southeastern Conference Player of the Week last fall, earns the W-League honor for the first time. The Huntsville, Ala., native earned the accolade on the heels of a hat-trick in a 4-0 win over Rochester.
On the season Frederick leads the Lady Lynx with seven points on three goals and one assist. Also on the squad is Alabama goalkeeper Justine Bernier, who sports a 0.33 goals against average after allowing just one goal in three games while making eight saves and earning two clean sheets. Former Alabama standout Hayley MacDonald has played in all three games.
