
Softball Starts Trek to Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - The No. 4 seed Alabama softball team departed the Tuscaloosa Airport and arrived in Oklahoma City, Okla., Tuesday afternoon. The Crimson Tide took off at Noon and landed at its destination in a charter jet at 2:30 p.m.
Alabama will start off the festivities with the opening ceremony at ASA Hall of Fame Stadium tonight. The ceremonies will also include an ice cream social with local youth. On Wednesday Alabama will meet with the media and also conduct its first official practice on the grounds.
The Tide will open Women's College World Series play on Thursday, May 28 against No. 5 seed Michigan. The two teams will square off at 6:00 p.m. and the game will be broadcasted on ESPN and online at ESPN 360.
