BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Alabama sophomore Adam Booher is the Southeastern Conference Diver of the Week the league office announced today.
Booher earned the honor after winning the three-meter board in the Crimson Tide's tri-meet against Georgia and South Carolina on Saturday. He also took second off the one-meter board. Booher took top honors off the three-meter with a career-best score of 358.90 and took second off the one-meter board just behind UA All-American Aaron Fleshner, the league's top-ranked diver.
"Adam has been getting better week-by-week and has really done a great job overall this season," Alabama head coach Eric McIlquham said. "He finished off the regular season with a bang is very deserving of this award."
Between Booher and Fleshner, Alabama has earned SEC Diver of the Week honors three times this season. With the regular season behind them, Booher and his Tide teammates open up the postseason February 18-21 with the SEC Championships in Auburn, Ala.
