Gymnastics Hosts Christmas Party for Stallings RISE Center Students

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The Alabama Gymnastics team hosted its annual Christmas party for the children from the Stallings RISE Center in the Frances Smith Practice Facility Friday afternoon.
Head coach Sarah Patterson and the Crimson Tide have joined with RISE for a Christmas party for nearly 20 years and have hosted the party in the UA practice facility since it opened in 1996. As always, the gymnasts and RISE students were joined by a very special guest when Santa Claus made his way to Coleman Coliseum and the practice gym.
"Our ladies look forward to this day every year," Patterson said. "The children bring so much energy and joy into the gym and for the gymnasts, as they get ready for this hectic time of exams, travel and the holidays, the children from the Stallings RISE Center never fail to remind us of the important things in life."
The gymnasts start exams next week to finish off the fall semester. Alabama starts the defense of its SEC Championship Friday, Jan. 8 at Auburn. Season tickets can be purchased online at RollTide.com and through the Alabama Ticket Office (205.348.2262).
