OAKRIDGE, Tenn. - The Alabama Rowing team pulled off a program first at the Secret City Regatta in Oakridge, Tenn., Saturday when every Crimson Tide boat entered in the event finished in the top three of their respective races. In addition to every UA boat medaling, Alabama also swept the top spot in all five of its races.
"I felt like if we went out and performed at the level we are capable of, that this was something we should be able to do," head coach Larry Davis said. "I was pleased with our performance and the effort we put in and the way we executed."
The Tide took the top three spots in three Varsity events, the 8+, 4+ and doubles races. Alabama also took first and second in the Novice 8+ and first with the only boat it entered in the Novice 4+ race.

Alabama swept the Varsity doubles race, taking first, second and third with times, in order, of 22:40.80, 22:46.30 and 23:07.40.
