
Gymnastics Ranked No. 1 Nationally on the Balance Beam

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The Alabama Gymnastics team is ranked No. 1 in the nation on the balance beam this week after scoring back-to-back 49.225s in its first two meets of the season.
Half of the Crimson Tide's 12 balance beam routines this season have come from the freshman class, which includes Ashley Priess and Geralen Stack-Eaton who are ranked sixth and 15th in the nation respectively on the beam.
Ranked ninth overall, the Tide is sixth on the vault and 14th on both the uneven bars and floor exercise. Florida is ranked No. 1 again this week, followed by UCLA, Utah, Georgia and Oklahoma. Auburn is sixth, Stanford seventh and Arkansas in eighth. Oregon State rounds this week's top 10.
Junior Ricki Lebegern is ranked 11th in the all-around and sixth on the floor exercise. Junior Morgan Dennis is fourth on the vault and 15th on the balance beam. Priess is also ranked 14th on the uneven bars.
Alabama returns to the road this Friday, traveling to Athens, Ga. to take on the Georgia Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. ET.
