Goodwin Earns CoSIDA Academic Honor

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Alabama women's golfer Laura Goodwin (Birmingham, Ala.) was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District 4 At-Large team. Goodwin earned first team honors as announced by CoSIDA.
Goodwin garnered the honor on the heels of another 4.0 performance in the classroom as a Human Performance and Health Science major. The 2007 NGCA All-American Scholar honoree and Academic All-SEC selection was also named to the All-SEC Community Service team earlier this season.
Goodwin finished the 2007-08 campaign with a 76.95 stroke average. The junior had her best tournament on the season at the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic, where she fired a 54-hole score of 226 to place 13th overall.
