
Women?s Golf Tied for Fifth After Round One

BATON ROUGE, La. ?? The Alabama women's golf team shot a 14-over-302 to sit tied for fifth place after round one of the LSU/Cleveland Golf Classic Friday at the University Golf Club. Florida State holds the first round lead with a 5-over-293.
Freshman Courtney Harter and sophomore Rhea Nair lead the Tide after round one with a 3-over-75. The duo currently rank tied for 15th in the 90 player field. Harter drilled an eagle on the par-5 11th while Nair sank three birdies on the day.
Freshman Camilla Lennarth and junior Kathleen Ekey follow with a 4-over-76. The duo currently sits tied for 23rd.
Junior Laura Goodwin rounded out the Tide scorers with a 6-over-78. Goodwin currently sits tied for 46th after sinking two birdies on the day. Senior Sarah Sturm finished with a 9-over-81, playing as an individual. Sturm is tied for 72nd.
