Freshman Diver Wins One-meter Event at Auburn Diving Invitational

AUBURN, Ala. - After finishing off the fall semester with exams last week, followed by a training camp in Tuscaloosa through the first part of this week, Alabama's divers have one more task before getting a brief break for the holidays and that got underway today with the Auburn Invitational.
Freshman Carrie Dragland won the three-meter board, posting a score of 315.85 in the finals, bettering second place by more than 15 points. Sophomores Lauren Dunn and Baylee Ellson also finaled in the event, taking third and fourth respectively. Dunne scored 280.95 while Ellson tallied 268.85 points.
Junior Aaron Fleshner was first after the preliminaries of the one-meter board with 358.00 points while sophomore Adam Booher was in third place with a 315.60. Both men struggled in finals, with Fleshner finishing fifth with 288.35 points while Booher scored 251.25 to take sixth.
Alabama, along with conference rivals and LSU return to action on Friday with the men competing off the three-meter and the women taking to the one-meter board.
