
Swimming and Diving Prevalent in SEC List

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The Alabama Swimming and Diving team is featured throughout this week's Southeastern Conference rankings, including three athletes who are ranked No. 1 in their respective events.
Junior Mark Randall is ranked first in the 500 freestyle, second in the 1000 freestyle and fifth in the 200 freestyle. And in a show of range, Randall, a distance ace, is ranked 13th in the 50 freestyle.
Junior diver Aaron Fleshner is ranked first on the three-meter board and 4th on the one-meter. Sophomore Adam Booher is fourth off the three-meter while junior Chris McCormick is eighth. Booher is also seventh on the one-meter.
Sophomore Catalin Cosma is third in the 200 freestyle, senior Kevin Greer is ranked sixth in the 50 freestyle and junior Drew Finelli is eighth in the 500 freestyle. Sophomore Denes Zubcsek is fourth in the 200 butterfly and ninth in the 100 fly. Senior Chris Perry is seventh in the 200 backstroke.
In the breaststroke events, junior Riley Boulden is third in both the 100 and 200 breaststrokes while his classmate Luke Boutwell is seventh in the 100 breaststroke and sixth in the 200 breaststroke. Boulden is also ranked in the 200 IM, standing in fourth place while sophomore Daniel Armstrong is 10th.
On the women's list, junior Agustina de Giovanni is ranked in the league's top-5 in four events, including first in the 200 breaststroke, second in the 400 IM, third in the 200 IM and fourth in the 100 breaststroke. Sophomore Kate Shannon Gray is third in the 400 IM and eighth in the 200 IM.
Freshman Carrie Dragland is ranked fifth in both the one and three-meter diving events. In the 100 butterfly junior Hannah Brinks is ranked sixth while sophomore Ida Persson is ninth. Freshman Suzanne Schwee stands sixth in the 200 butterfly while junior Allyson Angle is 10th in the 200 backstroke.
Alabama has this weekend off from competition and hits the road next weekend, traveling to Baton Rouge, La. to face LSU Friday, Nov. 7.
