Gymnastics Holds Annual Ghosts and Goblins Intrasquad Sunday

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The Alabama Gymnastics team will hold its annual Ghosts and Goblins intrasquad Sunday at 1:30 p.m. in the Frances Smith Practice Facility in Coleman Coliseum.
"This is the first opportunity of the year for our ladies to compete in front of others," coach Sarah Patterson said. "It helps give us a better idea of where we are right now and what we have to work on to be ready for January and our first meet of the season."
Alabama fans are invited to join the fun at the intrasquad and get a preview of the 2009 team. The team has been divided into two squads and will compete on a point system devised by the coaching staff, who also serves as the judges.
Sunday will mark the first time fans can see Alabama's five rookies, Jocelyn Fowler, Erika Pearson, Ashley Priess, Geralen Stack-Eaton and Rachel Terry in action for the Crimson Tide. Alabama returns 11 letterwinners from last year's sixth place NCAA team, including NCAA Champion and All-American junior Morgan Dennis and All-Americans sophomore Kayla Hoffman, senior Brittany Magee, junior Casey Overton and junior Kassi Price along with SEC Champion Ricki Lebegern.
