TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Alabama head women's cross country coach Randy Hasenbank led the Crimson Tide through their eighth week of practice and a week of no competition. The squad was able to train through the end of the week without classes as the university was on fall break this week.
The Crimson Tide will be getting ready to compete at the Chile Pepper Invitational in Fayetteville, Ark. The race is being hosted by the No. 10 Arkansas lady razorbacks.
"Our young runners will be competing in their first 6k," Hasenbank said. "This is our championship race distance and I am looking forward to seeing what they can do at 6k."
The Alabama women will train through the week before departing for Fayetteville to compete against many regional teams and should be a valuable experience for the young squad.
The Crimson Tide will travel to Fayetteville, Ark. on Oct. 18 to compete at the Chile Pepper Invitational. The 6k race will be held at the University of Arkansas cross country course at 10:30 a.m.
